USR Jr All American Camp Recap

On August 17th Urban Sports Rescue presented the inaugural Jr All American camp in Philadelphia, PA. Which drew rising 7th, 8th, and 9th graders from the tri-state. USR Jr All American camp feature some of the best talent in the region under one roof. USR Jr All American featured some of the most sought after instructors in the region with Michael Solomon( Pro Trainer), Vivian Hirschfeld(Coaching Legend), Dave Hargrove(Imhotep Charter), Frank Adams(Hunting Park Warriors), Alana Swift( Girls Public League MVP 2019) 

USR Jr All American exposed campers to yoga(yoga by Marty), Speed and Agility by Tone Fulton(Pro Trainer), Court Sense Demo by Irv Magill(Elite Trainer), Rasool Hajj conducted a practice ACT test for campers as they were taught the importance of academic readiness.

Guest speakers(Carlene Hightower, Monique Boykins, Tanesha Sutton, Beulah Osueke, and Alana Swift) shared life experiences and gave the campers advice on how to be successful while using basketball as a vehicle.

Campers were also able to speak and hear from WNBA Chicago Sky’s Kahleah Copper as she encouraged and gave them insight on hear road to the WNBA.

As camp concluded with the All American game in which Deja Martin and Sa’miyah Steven claimed MVP’s for their respected teams. While Laila Alexzander earned the hardwork/all effort award. Jordyn Reynolds was selected as the camp’s MVP for 2019
